Frequently asked questions

How do I replay the tutorial?

Tap the menu (☰) on the main screen, then tap Tutorial.

Why am I not getting watering reminders?

Reminders are off until you turn them on. Tap the menu (☰), then Reminders. If they’re on in the app but still not appearing, open the iPhone Settings app, tap Notifications, find Grow Plants, Grow!, and make sure Allow Notifications is on.

Why don’t my plants show up on my other device?

Make sure you’re signed in with the same account on both devices. Your plants sync automatically when you open the app. You can also pull down on the plant list to refresh it.

Why does my plant need less water in winter?

Most houseplants grow slowly in the darker months, so Grow Plants, Grow! automatically spaces out watering and pauses fertilizing in winter. You can turn this off in the seasonal care section on any plant’s page.

Is there a limit on photo diagnoses?

Photo features such as plant identification and diagnosis include a free monthly allowance. It resets at the start of each month.

Can I trust the photo diagnosis?

Diagnoses are automated suggestions based on your photos and are meant as a helpful starting point. They can be wrong, so check with a local nursery or plant expert for serious problems.

How do I delete my account?

Tap the menu (☰), then Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, plants, journal entries and photos. It can’t be undone.

Why do I need an account?

Your account keeps your plants backed up and synced between your iPhone and iPad, so nothing is lost if you change or lose your phone.
